On Saturday 4 November we are holding our first wheelchair tennis festival at the White Horse Leisure Centre, Abingdon.
This is a great opportunity to try wheelchair tennis – and will see the debut of the specialised wheelchairs Tennis Oxfordshire has bought to encourage and assist more players into the sport.
If you would like to give it a try, all you have to do is book online at www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/Push2Podium2017
The event will run from 12 noon – 4pm and is one of ten wheelchair festivals planned by the Lawn Tennis Association across the country. Players who impress at the festivals will be invited on to the Tennis Foundation’s Development Squad.
“The courts are booked and we are looking forward to welcoming new players to Tennis Oxfordshire,” says Nicky Maskens, chair of Tennis Oxfordshire.
“As an association we are committed to developing disability tennis across the county. Whether you have played tennis before or not, we will be delighted to welcome you on 4th November.”
