Oxfordshire ladies had a great day at Bampton as part of an initiative to raise money for the Lily Foundation which funds research into mitochondrial disease.
Every day in the UK a baby is born that will develop this life shortening condition.
The round robin tournament, with 32 ladies competing, managed to raise over £1000. All competitors changed partners every 20 minutes with the top scorer in each of the four groups going through to the final. This was won by Barbara Bence – 82 years young – and partner Jules Frost who beat Vanessa Strutt and Victoria Richardson 6-3.
