Luckily it was a slightly later start than normal, giving players time to get to Cambridge and be ready for a long days play ahead!

The boys and girls would alternate every match playing singles then doubles.

Boys went first playing playing a blinding match against a strong Herts team. Playing some strong matches and managing to win on points in the end after being 3-3. Cambs B were next and another strong County to play against. The boys played some brilliant tennis and came away with a 4-2 win. Building on this momentum Herts B had some good players. Evan and Harry playing some strong tennis and the boys altogether winning 4-2. Our 4th match was against Berkshire with Wilson and James being aggressive but we just lost out on points this time as we were 3-3 after all of our matches. Lastly, Cambs A were last and with some super close matches with James and Evan winning their doubles they came up short with a 5-1 loss. Overall, the boys did a superb job finishing 3rd out 6. Well Done Boys!

The girls had the same counties to play against, with some great matches from Emily and Rio the girls lost 4-2. However, it was a great learning experience getting the correct positioning on the doubles court. Cambs were next with Isla and Elizabeth getting into their singles matches really well. Just coming up short losing 4-2. The girls kept their fighting spirit and Herts B were a strong opposition but we couldn’t quite get over the line with a 5-1 loss. Our final 2 matches is where the girls brought their fire power. Cambs 2nd team were up and our girls went toe to toe with them, sticking together and supporting one another they ended tied at 3-3 but just losing out on points. Lastly, Berkshire were our final opponents and the girls wanted to finish strong. They brought their best energy throughout the whole afternoon and did a fantastic job winning 5-1. Overall, the girls came 5th out of 6. Well done Girls!
