Oxfordshire named as most improved County in 2024

The County Cup Race each year recognises every county's performance across nine separate County Cup events, spanning from the 18U event early in the year, to the Winter County Cup in November. Points are allocated after each event, and the county with the highest overall points across all events is crowned the County Cup Race Champion for the year. Additionally, special recognition is given to the county that demonstrates the most significant year-on-year improvement in their final position.

We’re immensely proud to let you know that Oxfordshire has just been announced as the Most Improved County in the 2024 race.

Anyone who has experienced County Cup will know the hard work and dedication it takes to prepare and support a team across what are both physically, and sometimes mentally, challenging competitions. 

Our personal congratulations, together with those of everyone else on the Tennis Oxfordshire Management team, go to all our county team players, county coaches, team captains, parents and volunteers who helped make this happen. You are all part of a winning team!

Steve and I are so grateful to everyone who contributed to this fabulous milestone, one we have achieved for the first time in our history, and we look forward to building on this success.

We plan to further celebrate and recognise our achievement in the months ahead.
