Tennis Oxfordshire Safeguarding
The County Safeguarding Officer is responsible for assisting the LTA Safeguarding Team in promoting and embedding a culture of safeguarding and diversity and inclusion in Oxfordshire. They will assist in supporting registered venues to put in place procedures to safeguard children (U18) and adults, and they will engage with venue Welfare Officers.

LTA 2024-26 Safeguarding Strategy
The LTA 2024-26 Safeguarding Strategy, builds on the previous strategy and challenges to go further, covering six key areas, including but not limited to enhanced training, increased awareness and stronger case management procedures.

Digital ID Verification for DBS checks (2024)
A new verification service for DBS checks called Digital ID is now available to use.
Digital ID will allow applicants to verify their ID documents using their smartphone, tablet, or PC and avoid having to travel to the Post Office or an ID Checker in their tennis venue/county. At £4.80 it is also more cost effective than post office verification (£8.22).
To use Digital ID, applicants need to either have a chip-enabled Passport or a Biometric Resident Permit (BRP), and either a Driving License or National ID card.
Applicants will be asked a series of questions to determine if they are eligible to use Digital ID and if they wish to proceed with that service or use one of the alternatives (Post Office or LTA ID Checker).
