Make a Difference with Tennis Oxfordshire
We’re a small team of volunteers helping with the running of tennis activities across the County: working with clubs and venues on safe and welcoming opportunities for everyone to play, supporting our fantastic coaches, organising and running leagues, competitions and tournaments, developing tennis in parks, and of course supporting our County level players, both juniors and seniors.
We are always looking for people to help us with this.
You don’t need lots of time, just an interest in getting involved, contributing a few ideas and helping us to get some new things off the ground.
No committees (unless of course you enjoy them), no need to attend long meetings, no major commitments, but the chance to do something worthwhile and help more people enjoy tennis.
For 2024/5, we have some big ambitions around:
- Participation activities which get people involved in tennis who might not otherwise play.
- Competitions for younger players just starting out in tennis but keen to have fun on court with their peers at their local club.
- Growing our tennis and padel workforce to get more coaches, assistants and activators to support our growing programmes.
- Building a better, more diverse and inclusive set up to reach new players and volunteers
So, whether you are a student/early on in your career wanting to build your skills, busy working and looking for some new challenges outside the day job, or retired and with skills and experience you’d like to offer back, why not get in touch and find out a bit more?
